• If you could have written any published novel/series of novels (not already written by you) which would you choose?

“I would’ve loved to be the mind behind Brent Weeks’ Night Angel trilogy. It’s not very well known, but it has a small fanbase. And if you like magic, assassins, war, political struggle, and very interesting characters, I’d recommend it!”

• What’s your favourite invertebrate?

“Cuttlefish! I love cuttlefish! 8D”

• Bananas or avocados?

“Oh boy, those are both things I don’t like XD. If I had to pick though, bananas. Cause I do like them in certain pastries/candy at times.”

• If you like a film that’s based on a book/comic/show/older film/whatever you haven’t read/seen, will you normally seek out and experience the original?

“Most of the time yes. If I don’t actually go looking for the original thing itself, I at least do research on it.”

• What was your most recent dream that you can remember?

“It started with my friends and I driving somewhere when the ground opened up and almost swallowed the car up into it. After veering onto the sidewalk and nearly crashing into a wall, we got out of the car to look down into the chasm that appeared. Rising up from the crack was this gorgeous, androgynous looking creature. Who proceeded to descend and starting eating people. Unfortunately that’s it since I woke up shortly after.”

• Is there a song or album that never fails to make you feel good?

“Anything by Great Big Sea. ‘The Jolly Butcher’ and ‘Drunken Sailor’ make me laugh, while ‘Barque in the Harbour’ and ‘Boston and St. Johns’ make me cry. So whatever I need, they’ve got it covered.”

• Bulbasaur, Charmander, Squirtle or Pikachu?

“Bulbasaur!! I love my little Bulbasaur <3”

• What’s something that has changed your life, for better or for worse?

“Moving to California. So much has changed for me since I left NY, and I feel so much better about it.”

• Hand-drawn or CGI animation?

“Hand-drawn all the way! I’m too much of a fan of classically animated films/shows to not love hand-drawn animation.”

• What’s your favourite birthday you’ve ever had?

“This is going to seem so lame. I’ve never had an exciting birthday really, but the best one I ever had was when I turned 16 and went to visit my friend Cale at his house. We made brownies and played Oblivion all night and it was great fun. Simple, but the best.”

• If you could choose to communicate with any one animal species, which would it be?

“Deer. Hands down. Stags, does, fawn, just… deer. They’re so beautiful and you can find them in so many places. I would love to get to speak to them. There’s a reason I’m the servant of cervine after all.”

Well I’ve worked on ideas in the past and been very fond of stories and stuff, but what I just dreamed up is going to be a story of things very near and dear to me in disguise. I think it’ll be something for everyone to enjoy, with messages to look at if given the time.

Now whether I could ever finish a comic is beyoooond me.

But I feel very inspired at 2:45 in the morning and so help me if I don’t get a few sketches done before I pass out.

I swear, what I need to do is work with a good patient artist who will look at my story/sketches and just do the art part. Writers do that all the time, right? I digress. I could use the art practice anyway.

Welp I’m off to create!!

I don’t know why it continues to surprise me that sometimes people can be so mean. If you’re going to be stuck on a Greyhound bus for nearly 24 hours with someone, you really don’t want those people calling you names and harassing you.

Both my friends who are coming to visit me are FtM transgenders. I’m not sure how the situation started, but 3 large black men decided it was okay to pick on my two friends. They called my friends “fags”, “fag-bitches”, “bitch ass niggers”, and “she-man bitches”.

Now I am not violent person in the least (quite the oppisite) but my one trigger is when you mess with my friends and make one of them cry. Fuck you people. You do realize a few years ago, you wouldn’t even be allowed on the fucking bus you’re riding on right now?

Luckily my friend Luke (being very well spoken and diplomatic) spoke to the driver about the situation. Those 3 men won’t be riding with Greyhound anymore. My friends still have to deal with those guys from Phoenix to LA, but they got to pick their seating and have those 3 hooligans placed far away.

I guess it’s because I’ve always grown up with a very understanding open-minded family that it continues to surprise me when people act this way. But what are you gonna do I suppose. At least Greyhound was nice enough to not put up with that shit.

It’s okay. Once my friends get here, I shall comfort them with promises of cake and Disney movies. Fuck yes.

OH GOD I’M DYING

On whether to use subtext to convey something, or blatantly show scenes/dialogue to spell something out.

My character Alice is very near and dear to my heart. She’s a big player inMind Games, and one of my personal favorite characters in the story. Now, here are some things I know I will be putting into the story:

1) Alice is a Maddocks clan celestial, but was banished from her clan.

2) In the beginning, she’s terrible at conveying emotion.

3) She’s very close to both Nicandro and Rosalba (two other major characters in the book).

Now, there’s one thing I’m not sure whether to include. This may simply boil down to a few sentences, or I may even have a whole novella on her backstory. But this question is more a matter of “If I want this story published one day…”.

Alice is an MtF transgender. She was born physically male, but identifies as female. By the time she meets any of the other main characters, she will have gone through hormone therapy/vocal training, but no surgery. In fact I’m not sure that she’s comfortable with the idea of someone (even a doctor) going near such areas.

There are also other parts of my story which I think could get further detail, but might possibly keep as subtext for the sake of publishers not tearing my poor story a new one, such as the relationship between Klaude and Axel, two men.

So here’s the question: Do I keep it as subtext, just something that I imply but never really give a straight answer to appeal to a wider demographic? Or do I stick with what I think could use more coverage in literature and have a very niche novel?

Because hell have I been lazy. I apologize for having a very, very, very boring blog. To update on the things I mentioned months ago, obviously I’ve gotten a bit tangled up in my own mind and in all honesty I should be writing about that because it has been one messed up…mess. (Maybe I will one day? Maybe have a character dealing with some of the issues I a—wait I already have some like that. I digress.)

Both Grinner and Mind Games (man I need a different name for that reminds me too much of fucking Hunger Games which no I have not read/seen) are pretty much all planned out save for the endings with both of them.

I have been inspired to do work recently, but will be busy for the next 2 weeks or so. If anyone is interested to see broken half done bits of either story (I know I don’t have many followers, but 16 is probably the most followed I’ve been on anything!) just let me know and I’ll start posting WIPs or something (and if anyone wants a reminder on what the hell either story is about/has suggestions, feel free to ask about that too).

Now for life update. I’ll just put a break here for those of you who don’t care XD
